Why are you closed? Are you opening soon. Love this place.?
Such a great experience. Food was well executed and came quickly. Drinks were poured to perfection and the staff was attentive and personable. The building is charming and welcoming to guest. Without a doubt, best of the Hill Country.
MoreFriends and I had a couple of appetizers and drinks here. Loved the food and atmosphere! I want to come again to actually eat a full meal.
MoreWent to Badu and the service and food were outstanding. Really cool building and grounds. I met the owner/Chef Chandler and he was a really nice and welcoming person. The whole place done right! Will be back even though I live in Austin. It is worth the drive to Llano.
MoreStopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Service was quick and friendly. I had the BADU Eggs Benedict and my husband had the French Dip. Both were very good, I'm sure anything on the menu would be delicious. If you are in Llano and hungry, I highly recommend BADU 1891.
More(Sad to see this place go, I hope this town or one next to it gets another place going with food as good as this was.) This place has great service, nice country atmosphere and a new fresh take on country styled food. I mean the cornbread was so good that it made you “wanna slap your mamma!”
MoreIf you're in Llano, do yourself a favor and have a meal at Badu. We went twice in one weekend and every single thing we had was perfectly done and delicious. Best restaurant I've been to in a long time.
MoreHad the best meal here! Venison meatballs and the chicken fried antelope were my favorites. Beautifully renovated historic building. Great spot to grab a drink and listen to live music too! A must-stop if you’re visiting Llano.
MoreHistoric building, good brunch, good bloody Mary's.
Great food. Great service and great atmosphere in beautiful Llano!!
Best meal in a long time... great patio and perfect weather for early evening... great servers... make sure to get the cornbread
MoreGreat place to Dine. Pleasantly surprised for Llano. Well managed and great food and drinks. 👍👍👍👍👍
MoreOne of my wife and my favorite places to take a road trip to enjoy. We had a fabulous Valentine's Day meal here in 2019 and another special evening here after a day at Ink's State Park in late 2018. The staff is friendly and there always seems to be a really great band playing which really made our Valentine's night great. The food is exceptional (a real gem for Llano!) and service is great to round out a really excellent experience.
MoreThis place is, hands down, the nicest restaurant/bar in Llano. I assume this is a historical building that was wondrously renovated. The wait staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. I only wish I had visited when the band was playing but I will time it right next time because I will be back! Loved it!
MoreGreat food! Great service!
Nice brunch menu, good drinks. Attentive staff. Egg and bacon sandwich undercooked, runny white. Didn't ask how I wanted my egg cooked. Salad w/ eggs Benedict limp, no dressing. Replaced with limp salad w/dressing. Inexperienced wait staff, I assume. Pleasant atmosphere, wide variety of beverage options. Cigars for the outdoor spaces.
MoreAmazing... It was our 27 year anniversary. We went there 28 years ago is a couple and spent the evening... The place is so charming... loved it
MoreAbsolutely charming place to have a fine dinner. Food and service were amazing, and the chef came out and spoke with us. Ambiance is very romantic with marble floors and beautiful artwork. The brussel sprouts were some of the best I have ever had. They also had a broccoli tempura on special that I highly recommend. For dessert, we had the keylime pie and white chocolate cheesecake. Both were wonderful!
MoreThe food was good, service was friendly, but the price was a bit high.
Amazing food and excellent staff. It's pricy for a town like Llano, but worth every penny. Dinner and a drink or two for a couple will run you $100 for a very nice meal. I'm sure you could do it for cheaper, but we weren't too concerned about price. I'd put it on par with Pappadeaux Seafood in Dallas, if you know what I mean. If you like fine dining, go here. Make a reservation, especially if a weekend during any hunting season or holiday! Ask for Natasha for wine pairings, she is an excellent sommelier!
MoreFood and drinks are great. Stopped by on Saturday evening for drinks and appetizers, and again for Sunday brunch. You won't be disappointed with either! Highly recommend the spicy tuna tostada, and the benedicts on cornbread!
MoreHats off to the chef of the newly renovated Badu House. The menu had lots of creative options to fit any palate. The cocktail menu is also inventive and tasty. We've only been there for brunch so far (the corn flake crusted stuffed brioche French toast is worth every calorie! And the roasted chili edamame are delicious!) We will be there again - soon!
MoreBeautiful historic building, friendly bartender who makes amazing margaritas on the rocks, and delicious queso/chips appetizers! Classy but incredibly friendly atmosphere with live music in the courtyard! Highly recommend it!
MoreThis place is an incredible asset to Llano and all the weekend warriors traveling through. Sit on the back patio on a Friday or Saturday evening and enjoy live music while the sun sets over the Llano river in the distance. Food is phenomenal. Can’t go wrong with anything. Thank you, Badu 1891.
MoreI really enjoyed this place. I love the decor and ambience and the food was spectacular! Best beef I have ever had hands down! I will definitely be back here.
MoreWe were super impressed with the food and atmosphere. Dinner, drinks, and dessert were all fabulous. Can't wait to go back again!!
MoreSo great we ate here twice in one weekend! Dinner on Friday night with some live music and brunch on Sunday morning. The special seared diver scallops were phenomenal and the lavender lemonade cocktail was one of the best I've had in a long time. Really everything was delicious, from the jalapeno cheddar cornbread (which is on the house) to the duck diablos to the Badu burger. Brunch was equally tasty! Mimosas are cheap at $4 and had more champagne than expected for the price. The chili lime hollandaise on the benedict had my fiance scraping his plate to get it all. I had the bacon and egg sandwich which had so much flavor packed in. I'm convinced you couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu. Cameron was our server both times and remembered us! He was friendly and provided excellent service. 10/10 would recommend!
MoreUnique and delicious food! Amazing building and patios!
Great food. Awesome atmosphere. They had great live music on the porch when we were there on a Saturday. Also dog friendly. Definitely worth the trip if you’re nearby or staying in Llano!
MoreWonderful experience this evening. Food and service excellent. Four of us for dinner and each one was more than pleased. Amazing mashed potatoes.
MoreI enjoy dining at Badu 1891, especially during the holidays. I was there on New Year's Eve and Valentine's. The food is exquisite. I've had steak and shrimp on New Year's Eve with their phenomenal salad. On Valentine's I had mac and cheese with crab. Mmmm...The chef indulged me with the most decadent chocolate concoction. It is necessary to make reservations but you will not be disappointed. If you prefer outdoor dining, you will be indulged with live music, fireside with blankets to swaddle you . Bon appetit!!
MoreGreat atmosphere even better food 🤤
Incredibly impressive lunch / brunch .Chicken fried chicken and a ranch water. So glad we didn’t stand in a huge line for BBQ. This was one of the best meals we’ve enjoyed while touring Texas for the past month.
